Certificate in Captive Insurance (CCI)

The Certificate in Captive Insurance (CCI) allows students to commit to an intermediate level of expertise in the captive industry, while also allowing for specialization in captive knowledge. The CCI requires fewer courses than the Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) designation and has a lower tuition cost.

Tuition

  • Tuition for the CCI program is $2,600
  • Tuition is payable upon enrollment

Program Requirements

There are three types of CCI certificates to choose from. Each requires successful completion of four courses.

Completion Time

  • Students have two years to complete the CCI program

Other Important Information

  • You can begin the program any time. Courses can be taken in any order.
  • After you register and pay for the program, contact the ICCIE Office to sign up for courses. Course dates are listed in the Course Catalog.
  • Courses consist of weekly online instructor-led sessions, weekly assignments, and a final exam. Students can expect to spend 75 minutes per week in class and approximately 75 minutes per week on assignments outside of class.
  • Courses vary in length from three to six weekly sessions, plus a final exam period. For specific information about each course, see the Course Catalog.
  • All coursework can be completed online.

Enrolling in ACI Program After Completing CCI

  • After finishing the CCI program, students have the option to enroll in the full ACI program and receive credit for the ICCIE courses they have already successfully completed
  • CCI graduates who wish to enroll in the ACI program would pay the regular ACI second payment of $2,300
  • Note: This makes the total cost of the CCI and ACI $4,900 (compared to $4,600 for the ACI program alone)
